Beauty pageants aren't just about physical beauty, but also the beauty within a person. That inner beauty was on display as Miss Tahiti 2018 and Morinda spokesperson Vaimalama Chaves recently toured the SOS Children's Village.
The SOS Children's Village supports underprivileged children in Tahiti. Morinda has sponsored this organization since 2007, notably hosting a number of employees and children from the village in 2015 at ILC in Los Angeles and presenting them with gifts, a trip to Disneyland, and a donation of $41,808.27 (thanks in large part to generous IPC donations).
During her visit to the village, Vaimalama was greeted with leis and singing. The children decorated one of the rooms at the village with paper crowns and drawings for her. With Vaimalama being a major celebrity in Tahiti, the children were very excited by her presence.
During her visit, she participated in a Q&A session, toured the village and took lots of photos. Vaimalama was fantastic with the underprivileged children and enjoyed the whole experience.
It's that kind of warmth and generosity that helps make Vaimalama a worthy representative of all things Morinda.
